Optics of Surfaces and Interfaces VIII

Calm, sharkless waters

The scope of the meeting is to bridge the gap between basic and applied science. Apart from recent advances in theoretical modeling and experimental research, special attention will also be paid to novel techniques of optical spectroscopy at interfaces. This meeting is intended to provide an informal atmosphere with ample time for discussions. For this purpose, the program will contain a limited number of invited lectures on the main conference topics. Some contributions selected among the submitted abstracts will be presented orally. The other accepted contributions will be presented in poster sessions. There will be no parallel sessions. We hope that this format will help promote discussions on the current development of the field and we expect all the participants to attend the entire meeting.
